Annual Caravan Servicing in Hobart

An annual caravan service is the single best thing you can do to keep your van safe, road-ready and holding its value. On Tasmanian roads — with steep descents, wet winters and coastal air — small issues become expensive quickly if they aren't caught early.

We come to your home, storage yard or campsite. No towing to a workshop, no waiting lists, no surprise costs. You get a full written report showing exactly what was checked and what condition it's in.

Why it matters

Why this service is worth doing properly

  • Insurance and warranty claims almost always ask when the van was last serviced. A documented annual service protects you.
  • Wheel bearings that fail on the highway can destroy a stub axle in seconds. We catch worn bearings before they let go.
  • Brake performance drops off dramatically once magnets and shoes wear — Tasmania's steep hills demand brakes in top condition.

FAQs

Annual Caravan Servicing — your questions

How long does an annual caravan service take?+

Most single-axle vans take around 3–4 hours on-site. Tandem-axle vans typically take 4–6 hours. If we find work that needs quoting, we'll always talk it through with you before doing anything extra.

What's included in the written report?+

Every service comes with a written inspection report covering brakes, bearings, suspension, hitches, wheels, lights, chassis and body. It's emailed to you and useful for insurance, resale and your own records.

How often should I service my caravan?+

Every 12 months or every 10,000–15,000 km, whichever comes first. Vans stored outside near the coast should be checked yearly regardless of kilometres.

Do I need to bring the van anywhere?+

No. We come to you anywhere across Greater Hobart and Southern Tasmania — home, storage yard, workplace or campsite.
